12-year-old boy dies after minibike crashes into Raytown building

A 12-year-old boy died after the minibike he was riding crashed into a building in Raytown Thursday evening.

A 12-year-old boy died after the minibike he was riding crashed into a building in Raytown Thursday evening.

Law enforcement said the crash happened around 8 p.m. near the intersection of East 62nd Street and Arlington Avenue.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the crash and said the minibike ran off the roadway, hit a curb and then struck a building. The rider, a child from Raytown, was pronounced dead by Raytown Fire Department personnel.
