Man dies after being struck by train in Olathe, police say
A pedestrian has died after being struck by a train in Olathe, according to a news release from Olathe Police Department Sgt. John Moncayo.
Officers were dispatched to the area of West Elm Street and South Kansas Avenue around 3 p.m. Wednesday. There, they found a dead man, according to the news release. The man had allegedly been hit by a train.
The railroad will be closed pending an investigation, according to the news release. Residents can expect traffic delays from Kansas Avenue and Elm Street to Kansas Avenue and Harold Street.
