Pleasant Hill is under a boil water advisory that could last up to three days, according to a press release from the city.

The advisory began at 2:30 p.m. Monday and affects the city of Pleasant Hill and all Public Water Supply District 1 customers, according to the press release.

Recent improvements to a pump house led to the boil advisory.

Before consuming tap water, residents are encouraged to bring the water to a boil, according to the press release.

Customers affected will be notified.
