Lee’s Summit City Council to talk development projects, sewage in June 3 meeting

The Lee’s Summit City Council is meeting on Tuesday, June 3 at 6:00 p.m. at the city council chambers in City Hall, located at 220 SE Green Street in Lee’s Summit.

You can attend in person or watch an online livestream of the meeting through the city YouTube channel or the city’s website.

The agenda can be found online ahead of the meeting and includes public hearings for two upcoming proposed development projects, one for a new car dealership and one for a new telecommunication tower.

Members of the public who want to comment on any agenda item or speak during any public hearing item were asked to email the office of the Lee’s Summit City Clerk at clerk@cityofls.net by 5 p.m. Monday.

Among other items, councilmembers on Tuesday will discuss:

  • A proposed five-year plan for how to allocate a community development grant from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development

  • A new contract for sewage infrastructure in parts of Lee’s Summit, including the Lakewood Business Center and municipal airport

  • The potential appointment of new directors overseeing grant-funded Community Improvement Districts
