86-year-old Shawnee man dies a month after crash in Overland Park
A driver involved in a crash along West 143rd Street in Overland Park last month died Monday, police said. The collision remains under investigation.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 5:15 p.m. April 20 at the intersection of West 143rd and King streets, Overland Park police said.
Officer John Lacy, a spokesman for the department, said the Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office notified police that one of the drivers involved in the crash had died from his injuries Monday.
The man was identified as 86-year-old Jacob Webb of Shawnee.
Webb was headed north on King Street and was attempting to make a left turn onto 143rd Street when his vehicle was hit by a vehicle traveling east on the road, police said. Webb was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries at the time.
