If you think you have been affected by predatory towing in Kansas City, The Star would like to hear from you.
We’re asking for Kansas Citians to share their experiences after the recent arrests of the owner of a Kansas City towing company and his mother, who face 18 felony charges from the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office for illegal towing practices that have allegedly gone on for years.
The Star Editorial Board has told stories about victims of alleged illegal towing in recent years.
The Star’s reporters have also covered changes in towing regulations in Independence last year because of the practices. The Kansas City City Council is aiming to do the same in the coming weeks.
