Three men were injured in a shooting on Interstate 29 in Kansas City’s Northland early Sunday morning, police said.

Officers were called around 4:30 a.m. Sunday on a reported shooting in the area of Interstate 29 and North Oak Trafficway, where they found five male victims, said Sgt. Phil DiMartino, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department.

The men reported they were driving when they were shot at, DiMartino said.

Three of the men suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to area hospitals for treatment. He described the men as “stable.” The two other men were uninjured, he said.

Police have not released any suspect information. DiMartino said Monday afternoon that investigators had no additional information to release.
