Boy trying to cross U.S. 169 is struck and killed by vehicle

A 13-year-old boy died Thursday night when he was struck by a vehicle on U.S. 169 near Northwest Englewood Road in Kansas City, police said.

Jonsey Sanders of Kansas City was with a group of teenagers trying to cross the highway about 9 p.m. when he was struck by a Lincoln Town Car.

The driver stopped and cooperated with police.
