Missing KC man last seen driving on Armour Boulevard found safe Wednesday, police say.

Police say James Cotton, 65, went missing Tuesday night. He was last seen driving a Ford Focus near Gillham Road and East Armour Boulevard. No description of what he was last wearing was available.

The Kansas City Police Department said an elderly man who went missing Tuesday night has been found safe.

Police say James Cotton, 65, had gone missing around 8:30 p.m. in the area of Gillham Road and East Armour Boulevard.

He is now found safe, according to Sgt. Phil DiMartino, a police spokesman.

According to a news release, a family member left Cotton in the vehicle while she did an errand. When she returned, police said, James and her vehicle were gone.

DiMartino said Cotton has a medical condition which put him at risk.
