Pedestrian dies after crash on Interstate 635 in Kansas City Kansas, highway patrol says

The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Kansas City, Kansas, on Saturday.

Troopers responded around 12:40 a.m. to the northbound lanes of Interstate 635 about one mile from Interstate 70, according to a crash report.

A preliminary investigation shows that a pedestrian was walking in a northbound lane of the highway when a vehicle headed north struck the pedestrian, the crash report said.

The crash report did not provide the age or name of the victim.

No details about the vehicle involved were provided in the initial report.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating in the investigation, according to the crash report.

No other information was immediately available Saturday.
