Blue Springs educator is Missouri High School Principal of the Year

Dan Anderson, principal of the Blue Springs Freshman Center since 2005, has been named Missouri High School Principal of the Year.

The honor comes from the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals.

Writing to the principals group on Anderson’s behalf, Blue Springs Assistant Superintendent Jim Finley said Anderson leads a unique school of 1,100 freshmen, “one that has thrived and prospered under that leadership.”

He said Anderson knows how to move organizations in a positive direction and places colleagues where they can be successful.

“His collaborative approach contributes greatly to their collective effort to advance the shared vision of the school,” Finley wrote.
