Kansas City’s popular Hallmark Christmas Experience event will return this year
Good news for those 80,000 or so Hallmark fans who spent part of their holidays in Kansas City last year with each other and their favorite stars of popular Hallmark Christmas movies.
The Hallmark Christmas Experience fan event at Crown Center is returning this year.
Hallmark announced Monday that tickets go on sale in June. The event is expected to take place on weekends from Nov. 28 through Dec. 21.
Hallmark’s creative team designed an “immersive experience” for fans last year, with a Christmas market set up around the Mayor’s Christmas tree, skating on the Crown Center Ice Terrace, workshops with Hallmark artists, food and themed drinks.
When the inaugural event was announced, Hallmark executive Lindsey Roy told The Star that “we often hear from our fans that they wish they could step into the world of our movies and get a peek behind the curtain of card making, and more.
“This event brings all things Hallmark to life in an immersive way we haven’t done before, and what better place to host than our hometown.”
Nearly 40 Hallmark movie actors also came to Kansas City to share behind-the-scenes stories and take pictures with fans at ticketed events. Hallmark movie fans, a passionate bunch, came to town from across the country.
During one weekend, Hallmark hosted a red carpet premiere for “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” which became one of the Hallmark Channel’s most-watched movies of the year. No sequel has been announced. (Yet?)
