Free immunization clinics for Kansas City school children
Kansas City Public Schools are gearing up for the start of classes on Monday by hosting a pair of free student immunization clinics.
Starting Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. a clinic will open at Whittier Elementary School, 1012 Bales Ave., and another from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Northeast Middle School 4904 Independence Ave.
Both clinics will be run by the Jackson County Health Department. Students have to have their current immunization records to enroll or register for Kansas City schools. Information about immunizations for children is available on the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.
