K-State and Manhattan up for economic development award

Kansas State University and the city of Manhattan make an award winning team.

The partnership is getting national attention for efforts to spur economic development by easing the way for innovative startup companies and for helping businesses relocate in the community.

K-State announced Wednesday that the Knowledge Based Economic Development, program established in 2008, has been named one of four finalists in the University Economic Development Association's 2015 Awards of Excellence competition.
