Longtime Kansas City restaurant is one of the best date night spots in 2025, Yelp says

A Kansas City restaurant was named one of the top 10 date night restaurants in the U.S. for 2025, according to Yelp.

Le Fou Frog in the River Market was No. 7 on the list. The restaurants were chosen based on the number and rating of reviews with the words “date night,” “romantic,” “Valentine” and “anniversary.” All had passing health inspections.

A staple of the River Market for almost 30 years, the restaurant serves a variety of traditional French dishes.

Yelp users recommended the “French onion soup, fois gras, steak au poivre, ‘buttery and delicious’ escargot, and crème brulee with a ‘perfectly crispy sugar top,’” according to the list.

For Valentine’s Day 2025, the restaurant will offer a special aphrodisiac menu Friday through Sunday.

Le Fou Frog was one of three Missouri restaurants on the nationwide list of 100. The other two are located in the St. Louis area: Polite Society and Noto Italian Restaurant.

6. Prime Social on the Plaza

7. Farina in the Crossroads

8. Tailleur in midtown

9. Fox and Pearl on the West Side

10. Nighthawk, downtown
