Police find 14-year-old Grandview girl unharmed

Grandview police on Tuesday found a 14-year-old girl who had been missing for more than a day.

Denee N. Gurley had disappeared from home Monday morning. Grandview detectives found her unharmed about 3 p.m. in Kansas City, near 87th Street and U.S. 71.

Gurley was found in the company of a 17-year-old boy who was reported missing in Colorado, according to police. Detectives believed the boy traveled by bus to the Kansas City area and intended to return to Colorado with Gurley.
