Water main break closes lanes of Shawnee Mission Parkway during rush hour

Drivers who rely on Shawnee Mission Parkway through Fairway for their commute or evening plans should seek an alternate route or expect delays.

A water main break in the 3800 block of Shawnee Mission Parkway will force crews to limit the popular route to and from the County Club Plaza to one lane in each direction.

Water District No. 1 of Johnson County has alerted Fairway police that repairs probably won’t be completed before rush hour.
