Taylor Swift wears Chanel to cheer on Chiefs in her second 2025 public appearance
Taylor Swift made only her second public appearance of the new year on Saturday at the venue where Kansas City Chiefs fans have become accustomed to seeing her runway arrivals.
Swift arrived at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium a couple of hours before kickoff of the Chiefs-Texans NFL playoff game. She wore 2025 resort wear from the Chanel runway, but she warmed up the look for the freezing temperatures in Kansas City.
Swift style watcher Sarah Chapelle noted how Swift wore a vintage Chanel hat at the last Chiefs game she attended, which also “happened to be against the Houston Texans.”
The Chiefs won that game 27-19 on Dec. 21.
Lucky Chanel?
“I also wondered if it would be a precursor to today and if she would wear the brand again as a continuation of her presence at these games and a ‘repeat’ of their matchup,” Chapelle wrote on her popular Taylor Swift Styled Instagram.
On Saturday, Swift wore a black and white tweed coat ($9,600) over a wool jersey jumpsuit ($4,650) accessorized with a Chanel chain belt ($2,250).
Unlike how it was shown on a bare-legged model on the runway, she wore black tights and tall black boots with the short jumpsuit.
It was a strong look for a big coming-out weekend for Swift.
She turned heads when she had dinner at NOBU Downtown in New York City Friday night with her parents, Andrea Swift and Scott Swift. Swift’s longtime friend, Ashley Avignone, joined them.
For her debut 2025 public appearance she wore a mini skirt ($348) and gemstone-button cropped peacoat ($948) straight from AREA’s FW 24 runway, according to Chapell.
She accessorized the look with slouchy, over-the-knee Chloe boots ($2,050) and a Jimmy Choo Diamond Frame Clutch ($1,750).
Fans were excited just to see her again in public.
