Allons-y! David Tennant is coming to Missouri in March for Planet Comicon Kansas City.

The Scottish actor, known for his stint as Doctor Who, will appear Friday and Saturday of the event. Planet Comicon will be held from March 21 to 23 at the Kansas City Convention Center, next to Bartle Hall.

This is a long-awaited appearance, Chris Jackson, Planet Comicon Kansas City’s founder and CEO, said in a press release.

“Every year we ask Planet fans who they want to see at our show. David Tennant’s name has been near the top of the most requested list for many years.”

In its 26 years, the annual festival has welcomed stars like Marvel legend Stan Lee and Star Trek actor William Shatner. The conference features cosplay contests, vendors and panels by actors, authors and comic book writers and illustrators. Last year, the event drew 75,000 attendees, according to spokesperson Chris Phelan.

Tickets for adults range from $42 for a day pass to $98 for three days, with cheaper prices for those under age 13.

Guests already announced for Planet Comicon 2025 include:

  • Andy Serkis (“Lord of the Rings,” “Planet of the Apes”)

  • Mario Lopez (“Saved By the Bell,” “Pacific Blue”)

  • Tori Spelling (“Beverly Hills 90210,” “Scream 2”)

  • Matthew Lillard (“Scream,” “Scooby-Doo,” “Five Nights at Freddy’s”)
