Some Kansas City metro schools extend closure, virtual learning to Friday. See the list
Some school districts in the Kansas City metro area have extended their closures into Friday, giving students and staff a full week off of in-person instruction following the blizzard that swept through the area last weekend.
A record amount of snowfall blanketed the KC area last Saturday and Sunday, adding up to 11 inches at the Kansas City International Airport. A second, lighter round of snowfall is expected to blanket the metro Thursday night, with 1 to 3 inches of snowfall predicted throughout the region.
