Trenton, Mo., firefighter killed in skydiving incident

A Trenton, Mo., firefighter was killed Saturday in a skydiving incident near the city of Henrietta in Ray County, according to the Trenton Fire Department.

Lt. Eric Lorenz, 30, had been with the Fire Department for 10 years. He was married and had a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son.

The skydiving excursion appeared to be recreational and not related to training.

Lorenz’s funeral was expected to be arranged by the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.
