Travis Kelce gives Canadian tuxedo a ‘poetic’ lusty twist ahead of Chiefs-Browns game
There’s a right way to do a Canadian tuxedo.
It’s not this.
The country’s new It couple — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce — shows how jeans worn with a denim jacket should be done in 2024.
The Eras Tour star gave Canadian tuxedo vibes when she wore denim-on-denim to the Chiefs season opener at Arrowhead in September.
And Kelce wore head-to-toe denim for the Chiefs-Browns game Sunday in Cleveland.
Sunday’s game brought the return of the always impeccably dressed Harrison Butker. The Chiefs kicker and quarterback Patrick Mahomes both wore custom suits as they stepped off the plane in Cleveland Saturday. Runway-ready is Mahomes’ signature away-game fit.
Isaiah Pacheco must have gotten the all-denim memo, wearing dark blue jeans with a cropped, denim workwear jacket from Abercrombie & Fitch that is currently sold out.
But it was Kelce’s look that earned close inspection by Swift’s fans because of its name.
The “Poetic Lust Jacket” by Earthling VIP ($2,250) called to mind Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The jacket matched the jeans ($2,250).
L.A.-based Earthling VIP is known for clothes that double as wearable art. Kelce’s jacket and jeans were made of reworked denim covered in crocheted lace.
Admiring the needlework, some Swifties boasted that their idol, known to enjoy a little DIY crafting, could have made the jacket herself.
“If this doesn’t scream Swiftie art craft all over it, I don’t know what does,” one fan posted on TikTok.
