Part of building collapses in blaze at under-construction apartment complex in Olathe
Firefighters put out a blaze at a building still under construction at an apartment complex in Olathe Friday morning, officials said.
Firefighters were called to the building at 275 South Parker Street around 4 a.m., the Olathe Fire Department said in a social media post. When the call came in, the fire could be seen from more than four miles away, the department said.
The building partially collapsed, and it took first responders about two hours to get the fire under control.
No one was injured.
The department said investigators were working to determine a cause for the blaze.
Firefighters from the Olathe Fire Department, the Lenexa Fire Department and the Shawnee Fire Department responded to fight the fire.
