Missing teen with medical condition from Kansas City found safe

Update: Andrew Calvert has been located and is safe, according to police.

An 18-year-old man with a medical condition who needs medicine is missing from Kansas City, and police asked for help finding him, a police spokesman said.

Andrew Calvert was last seen about 8 p.m. near East 29th Street and Tracy Avenue in the Beacon Hills neighborhood, said Capt. Jake Becchina with the Kansas City Police Department.

Calvert, who was diagnosed with a mental illness that is treated with medication, was described as having black hair and brown eyes. It was unknown what clothing he wore at the time of his disappearance.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Kansas City Police Department’s missing persons section at 816-234-5043.
