Police seek help finding missing Independence teen last seen being forced into a car

Police in Independence are seeking the public’s help to find a missing 19-year-old last seen Saturday night.

Preston Bell was last known to be in the 500 block of South Brookside around 8:30 p.m. being forced into a vehicle by unknown people. His family has been unable to reach him since, according to a Facebook post from the Independence Police Department.

The vehicle is described as a black Chevrolet Malibu, with Missouri plates RL4-C4B and a dent in the passenger door.

Bell is a 5’9” white male, 140 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Senior 2023” on the front and black sweatpants. He has a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm and the word “Pamela” tattooed on his left arm, according to the post.

Anyone who sees Bell or his car is asked to contact local law enforcement. Any information regarding his disappearance should contact Independence police at 816-325-7300.
