Country music star Jelly Roll entertained the crowd at a sold out T-Mobile Center Wednesday night with a nearly two-hour show on his Beautifully Broken Tour.

Wednesday’s show also included opening acts Allie Colleen, Shaboozey and Ernest.

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, sermonized from the stage with inspirational messages about overcoming adversity. His songs are loaded with lyrics intended to give hope to the broken. He referred to the show as “a night of healing, hope and love.”

Before making it big, Jelly Roll had his own experiences with serving jail time on several occasions. He talked about his time in jail during the show. The Nashville star uses his experiences to talk with incarcerated people. He’s also testified about the fentanyl crisis before Congress.

The T-Mobile crowd was also entertained by opening act Shaboozey whose “A Bar Song(Tipsy)” is currently at the top of the country charts. The singer will perform during the halftime show on Thanksgiving Day during the NFL game between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions.
