Fire crews quickly extinguished a fire Thursday morning on the roof of the former Overland Park International Trade Center.

The fire was reported just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the building in the 6800 block of West 115th Street that now houses the Overland Park Xchange.

The building is undergoing renovation, according to Overland Park fire officials.

Several hundred employees of an adjoining business were evacuated as a precaution, but no injuries were reported.

Damage was contained to the area of the roof where the fire broke out. The cause is under investigation.
