Juvenile pedestrian in KCK injured after being struck by Wyandotte County Sheriff’s deputy
A juvenile pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being struck by a member of the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office Thursday morning, according to a spokesperson with the department.
The juvenile was crossing 82nd Street between Parallel Parkway and State Avenue around 8 a.m. when the crash occurred, according to Capt. Michael Kroening, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.
Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating the incident. It’s not yet known who was at fault, or whether anyone will be cited.
All parties involved, including witnesses, are cooperating, Kroening said in a statement.
