Rider thrown from motorcycle dies after crash in Kansas City
A motorcycle rider died after crashing along Grand Boulevard early Sunday in Kansas City, police said.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle around 1:40 a.m. in the area of 22nd Street and Grand Boulevard, said Officer Alayna Gonzalez, a spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department. The Honda 450R had been speeding south on Grand when it left the roadway and hit a light pole, Gonzalez said.
The rider, who police said was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
