Update: Angel Nichols, a 12-year-old girl who was reported missing after last being seeing Monday afternoon in a Kansas City neighborhood, has been found and is safe, a police spokeswoman said.

Police are asking for help finding a missing 12-year-old girl, who was last seen Monday afternoon in Kansas City, a police spokeswoman said.

Angel Nichols was last seen around 4:30 p.m. near East 39th Street and College Avenue in the Oak Park neighborhoods of Kansas City, said Officer Alayna Gonzalez with the Kansas City Police Department.

Angel was described as being about 5-feet-11 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. She has brown dreadlocks and brown eyes. She was wearing black cargo pants, a white T-shirt and black sandals.

Her family is concerned about her safety and well-being, Gonzalez said.

Anyone who has seen Angel or knows her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Kansas City Police Department’s missing persons unit at 816-234-5043.
