If you run out of hamburger buns or sunscreen on Labor Day, you might not be able to run to your favorite Kansas City area grocery store. Check out which retailers are closed or close early Monday, Sept. 2.

Several grocery stores will be open Monday for the 2024 holiday in both Missouri and Kansas, including in Overland Park, Olathe, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs and Lenexa.
