Childish Gambino performs Monday at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. This was his first performance in Kansas City in nearly 10 years and his last tour under the moniker “Childish Gambino.” Gambino will go by his birth name, Donald Glover.

Childish Gambino returned to Kansas City after a nearly 10-year hiatus to keep the crowd standing for the nearly two-hour show. The concert was his second in a 55-stop world tour that started Sunday in Oklahoma City.
It’s a bit of a farewell tour for the persona of Childish Gambino who is also actor, comedian and producer Donald Glover. Glover says he is retiring the stage name but is not retiring from making music and touring. The current tour supports the release of his new album “Bando Stone & the New World.”
