Police seek help finding 12-year-old girl who went missing in Kansas City

Update: Police said Tuesday Jasmine Parkinson was found safe.

Kansas City police said a 12-year-old girl, who they identified as Jasmine Parkinson, was missing Monday evening.

Police said Parkinson was last seen near the 8200 block of Forest Avenue in Kansas City, wearing a white or light gray T-shirt and orange shorts. She was believed to be barefoot.

Parkinson is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs around 90 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said Parkinson’s hair was braided and was put in a bun when she left a home in an unknown direction.

Police said Parkinson’s family was concerned for her safety.
