‘Round three, here we come.’ Patrick and Brittany Mahomes announce a baby on the way
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes announced Friday that she is pregnant with their third child.
The couple shared the news on their Instagram accounts with a video showing the sports power couple enjoying a photo shoot with their two children, Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, who turned 1 in November.
Brittany, co-owner of the KC Current soccer team, wore a tight-fitting white dress that showed off her new baby bump. Patrick was dressed in light colors as were the children, who held their mom’s ultrasound photos.
The announcement was set to “Count on Me” by Bruno Mars.
Thousands of fans “liked” the announcement, including Taylor Swift, the Chiefs, the NFL and WNBA star Caitlin Clark who wrote, “Awhhh congrats!!!”
It’s been a busy year for the young family. Brittany’s debut as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. Another Super Bowl win. The opening of the new KC Current stadium in March.
The family returned just this week from an extended European vacation which left Brittany dealing with some serious jetlag, which she shared on her Instagram Stories.
Fans reacting to the pregnancy announcement have begun suggesting baby names, keeping in mind the couple’s preference for precious metals. Sterling. Bronze. Their dogs are Steel and Silver.
Maybe a gemstone for this baby?
“Omg! This is so beautiful,” a fan named Amber wrote on Brittany’s Instagram. “Congrats to you all. Just what the world needs, more little angels like this. Side note, if it’s a girl, you’re more than welcome to use the name Amber.”
