Kansas City mother, daughter charged with manslaughter in death of relative: Prosecutors

A Kansas City, Kansas mother and daughter have been charged in the accidental death of a family member, according to records filed in Wyandotte County court Tuesday.

Latoya M. White, 46, and Monique D. Hunt, 23, were charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Lester Clyde White, 44.

White was Latoya’s brother and Monique’s uncle, according to online records. His death on Monday was caused by the use of excessive force, according to charging documents. The manslaughter charge was also tagged as a drug-related offense.

Latoya White and Hunt shared a home in Kansas City, Kansas, according to property records, while Lester White lived in Georgia.

Details about the nature of White’s death, as well as any possible motives, were not publicly available as of Wednesday. Charging documents indicate there was at least one living witness to Lester White’s death.
