Jackson County Circuit Court’s downtown Kansas City courthouse is closed Friday because of a water outage, a court spokesperson said.

It’s unclear when the courthouse at 415 East 12th Street will reopen.

All hearings scheduled to take place in the downtown courthouse Friday have been canceled and will be rescheduled, said Scott Lauck, a spokesperson for Jackson County Circuit Court. Those with hearings scheduled should contact the division in which their case is being heard for more details, Lauck said.

The Family Justice Center and Albert Riederer Community Justice Complex in Kansas City and the Eastern Jackson County Courthouse in Independence and all other court buildings remain open.

Updated information will be posted on the court’s website at 16thcircuit.org.
