3 Kansas City area grocery stores to close early on Memorial Day 2024. Find out which

If you run out of hot dog buns or sunscreen on Memorial Day, you might have fewer options for grocery stores in the Kansas City area.

Various grocery stores will be open Monday on both the Missouri and Kansas sides, including Overland Park, Olathe, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs and Lenexa.

Three grocery store chains will have different hours on Memorial Day:

• Costco (closed)

• Aldi (closes at 6 p.m.)

• Sam’s Club (closes at 6 p.m.)

But these grocery stores will be open in the Kansas City area Monday, May 27, confirmed by phone or their website. Some departments, like delis and pharmacies, might be closed or operating on reduced schedules, so check with the store for exact hours.
