Motorist dies in single-vehicle wreck in south Kansas City

A 34-year-old man died in a single-vehicle accident about 3 a.m. Monday on Bruce Watkins Drive at 87th Street in south Kansas City.

The man was southbound on Bruce Watkins when his vehicle left the roadway at 87th Street and struck a tree, police said. He died at the scene.

Police are trying to determined what caused the crash.
