Police look for dog after child attacked in Greenwood

Police in Greenwood searched for a dog Saturday after a child apparently was attacked and injured.

In a message posted to the Greenwood Police Department’s Twitter account, residents were advised to look out for a loose dog, which authorities thought might be a pit bull.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.

Greenwood is in southern Jackson County.
