KC police search for missing 16-year-old girl reported missing Wednesday night

Update: Thursday morning police said Ashanti Abraham was found and is safe.

Kansas City police are asking for help locating a missing 16-year-old girl.

Ashanti Abraham was last seen on Dec. 27 in the 5700 block of Walrond Ave., police said.

According to police Ashanti was last seen wearing gray jogging pants with a black jacket and black Jordan gym shoes.

She is described as being 5-feet-7-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to police.

If located, police are asking the public to notify the KCPD Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5043.
