Two people critically injured in wrong-way crash with pickup truck in Kansas City
Two people are injured following a wrong-way crash with a pickup truck Sunday in Kansas City.
Officers responded to the crash around 2:56 p.m. in the 600 block of North Chouteau Trafficway, said Sgt. Jake Becchina, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department.
A white Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was traveling southbound on Chouteau, when it crossed over the double yellow line and hit a white Hyundai Accent head on.
The Chevrolet driver was not injured, but the driver and passenger of the Hyundai were taken to a hospital with critical injuries. They are in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing and will consider impairment as a factor in the crash.
