Kansas City, Kansas, was alive with a celebration for the spirits of the dead Saturday.
Crowds gathered over the weekend to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos along Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas. The holiday, with roots in Mexico, is a time when celebrants honor their relatives who have died. Part of the celebration is in the form of elaborate costumes and ofrendas, altars that celebrate loved ones who have passed.
