Known as the Gary Hunter House, the home at 1228 W. 56th St. was built in 1922 by Kansas City architect John Van Brunt Sr. and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been listed by Keller Williams Realty Partners since June 13.

The house measures 12,554 square feet and the interior is modeled after George Washington’s home in Mount Vernon, Virginia. It counts eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms across three floors. Marble, terrazzo and wood flooring in different rooms give each space a unique style.

The kitchen features an island with built-in appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers and two full ovens, with a breakfast room attached.
