KC area restaurants with health code violations: Torchy’s Tacos, American Slang, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available). For complete Kansas health inspections, click here.

Torchy’s Tacos, 11919 Strang Line Road, Olathe, had eight violations during an Oct. 8 routine inspection.

Sam’s Club, 12200 W. 95th St., Lenexa, had seven violations during an Oct. 6 inspection following a complaint.

New China Town, 6854 Johnson Drive, Mission, had seven violations during an Oct. 10 routine inspection.

Village Inn, 6800 Broadmoor St., Mission, had seven violations during an Oct. 9 routine inspection.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical violations:

American Slang (Intercontinental Kansas City at the Plaza), 401 Ward Parkway, had nine critical violations during an Oct. 10 routine inspection.

Aruba Mediterranean Grill, 9520 James A. Reed, had nine critical violations following an Oct. 10 routine inspection.

Kari’s on 39th, 1715 W 39th St., had eight critical violations during an Oct. 9 routine inspection.

Price Rite Market and Deli, 6400 N.W. Waukomis Drive, had eight critical violations during an Oct. 5 routine inspection.

Artego Pizza, 900 W. 39th St., had seven critical violations during an Oct. 9 routine inspection.
