Kansas City man killed in head-on crash on Missouri 58 highway in Raymore, Missouri
A 30-year-old Kansas City man died in a head-on crash with a Ford pickup truck late Tuesday afternoon in Raymore, according to a crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Cameron P. Searle of Kansas City died in the crash that occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Missouri 58 highway at North Madison Street, according to the report. The other driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital in Kansas City.
According to a preliminary investigation, Searle was headed east in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala when he crossed the center line and crashed into the front of a Ford F-150 pickup. Searle, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the crash, according to the report.
After the crash, the Raymore Police Department posted to social media accounts that the highway was closed between North Madison and West Pine streets while officers and the highway patrol investigated. The highway reopened shortly before 9 p.m.
The crash occurred where Missouri 58 curves and runs north and south briefly at North Madison before continuing its east and west trek through Raymore, which is about 30 minutes south of Kansas City in Cass County.
