Opening early 2024, see luxury apartments near Legends Outlets, sports venues in KCK
Legends 267, a new, eight-story, luxury apartment complex is nearing completion at The Legends Outlets Kansas City in western Wyandotte County.
“We’re now 85-90% complete,” said Bob Becker, managing partner of Legends 267 and founder and president of Luke Draily Construction Co., the general contractor on the project. Becker said the $54 million project is right on schedule and will feature 267 luxury units. “We’re moving residences and people in on February first.”
The location will offer residents a living that is close to shopping, dining and entertainment at The Legends Outlets in Kansas City, Kansas. It also offers easy access to Interstate 435 and Interstate 70.
The complex will have several sizes of one-bedroom units ranging from 599 square feet to 890 square feet. Two-bedroom units will range in size from 1,158 square feet to 1,179 square feet. The one-bedroom units will rent for $1,250 to $1,727, while the majority of the two-bedroom units rent for $1,950 to $2,400.
Upscale finishes will include quartz counter tops, tile back splashes, wood-style plank floors, and pendant lighting. The apartment complex is built above a three-story, 620-space parking garage which includes an electric car charging station. The development spans approximately 509,221 square feet.
“Seventy-five percent of our rooms are one bedrooms, 25% are two-bedrooms,” said Luke Becker a financial associate with Beck-Cal Development, the developer on the project.
Apartments have been named after local legends including Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer George Brett, Kansas City Monarchs legend John Jordan “Buck” O’Neil Jr., and Sporting KC’s defender Graham Zusi, among others.
Units on floors one, three, and four will have nine-foot ceilings, while units on the tenth floor, the top floor, will have 10-foot ceilings. Stackable washers and dryers will be installed in each unit.
The complex, located at the southeast corner of Village West and Parallel Parkways, is adjacent to the Legends Outlets and close to several other retail stores including Wal-Mart, Target and Sam’s Club. The apartments are within walking distance to many restaurants and sports venues including Children’s Mercy Park, Legends Field, and the Kansas Speedway.
Bob Becker pointed out the amenities for the residents of Legends 267. “We have sky boxes, which are basically workstations,” Becker said. “You’ve got a yoga room, you’ve got two courtyards, a social room, you’ve got a sky lounge.”
The complex also includes a high-tech cardio and strength training fitness center and an elevated resort-style pool and hot tub located on the third floor. Other amenities include outdoor grilling stations, fire pits, coffee lounge and a social area featuring a bar and TV’s with overhead glass doors.
Pergolas and cabanas will be located in one of two courtyards that will offer a dedicated space for gaming. A hammock garden will also be located in a courtyard. Concierge Services will be offered for residents.
The complex will be professionally managed by Launch Development. The development should be complete in early 2024. Rosemann & Associates is the architect on the project.
