Update: Lenexa police in an email just after 4 p.m. Monday said Matthew Furmanek had been found and was safe.

Johnson County law enforcement are asking for the public’s help finding a man who has been missing since late September.

Matthew Furmanek, 34, was last seen leaving his Olathe home Wednesday morning, according to a news release from the Lenexa Police Department.

Furmanek is about 6-feet-tall and weighs about 185 pounds, police said. He has green eyes and brown hair.

“Friends and family are concerned about Matthew’s welfare as it is unlike him to be out of contact and to miss work,” police said.

Anyone who sees Furmanek or knows where he may be is asked to call 911 immediately.
