KC area restaurants with health code violations: Sullivan’s, Sushi UNI, Genghis Khan
Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.
Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse, 4501 W. 119th St., Leawood, had 10 violations during an Aug. 8 routine inspection.
Sushi UNI, 11001 Roe Blvd., Lenexa, had nine violations during an Aug. 4 inspection following an administrative order.
The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical violations:
Genghis Khan Mongolian Grill, 3906 Bell St., had 10 critical violations following an Aug. 4 routine inspection.
Chopstix Chinese Cuisine, 6003 N.W. Barry Road, had nine critical violations during an Aug. 7 routine inspection.
Brookside Barrio, 6227 Brookside Plaza, had eight critical violations during an Aug. 8 routine inspection.
Johnny’s Tavern, 1310 Grand Blvd., had eight critical violations during an Aug. 5 routine inspection.
El Torito Taqueria, 6126 Independence Ave., had seven critical violations during an Aug. 3 routine inspection. It had none in an Aug. 9 follow-up inspection.
The Brew Top, 8614 N. Boardwalk Ave., had seven critical violations following an Aug. 4 routine inspection.
Nguyen Pho & Grill, 500 Grand Blvd., had seven critical violations during an Aug. 7 routine inspection.
Room 39, 1719 W. 39th St., had seven critical violations during an Aug. 8 routine inspection.
