Going on a road trip? Here’s where you can get the cheapest gas around Kansas City

As Kansas City area residents hit the road for summer fun, many will be looking for the cheapest place to fill up their gas tank.

As of Tuesday, gas prices averaged $3.338 per gallon in Kansas and $3.324 per gallon in Missouri, according to AAA. That’s lower than last year’s average of $4.059 per gallon in Kansas and $4.026 per gallon in Missouri.

In Johnson County, prices average $3.449 per gallon and $3.428 in Wyandotte County. On the Missouri side, prices average $3.452 per gallon in Clay County, $3.421 per gallon in Jackson County and $3.400 per gallon in Platte County.

  • Price: $2.93 per gallon
  • County: Wyandotte

  • Price: $2.97 per gallon
