Kansas City police asked the public for help Tuesday to locate a 24-year-old woman reported missing from the city’s Oak Park neighborhood.

The missing woman, Deja Shelby, was last seen getting into a gray Chevy Malibu around midnight near 35th Street and Benton Boulevard, police said in a statement. Police said she has health issues that require medication.

Shelby is described by police as a Black woman, roughly 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds. She has a tattoo on her neck. She was wearing a white Nike T-shirt and black shorts when she was last seen.

Police were asking that anyone with information concerning Shelby’s whereabouts should contact the Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5043.
